A. Preliminary Business

Roll Call

The special meeting of the Washington State Executive Ethics Board (Board) was called to order by Chair Hooke at 9:30 a.m.  In attendance were Vice Chair Megan Abel and Members Jan Jutte, Cam Comfort and David Hankins. Board staff in attendance included:  Executive Director Kate Reynolds, Assistant Attorney General Julia Eisentrout, Senior Counsel Matt Kernutt, Administrative Officer Ruthann Bryant and Senior Digital Forensic Investigator Justin Cotte.

B. Discussion of Draft Legislation

Jennifer Strus, Counsel for the Legislative Ethics Board (LEB), reported on draft legislation that the LEB is proposing for the 2025 session that would amend several sections of 42.52 RCW. Jennifer Strus noted that many of the amendments were technical in nature and some would only apply to the legislature.

C. Miscellaneous Matters/Adjournment

      The meeting was adjourned at 10:07 a.m.
