Violation: A former Office of the Attorney General employee may have violated the Ethics in Public Service Act when they used state resources to prepare documents for a private lawsuit.

Result: Settlement approved on March 11, 2005 for a Civil penalty in the amount of $500.

2007-041 Office of the Attorney General

Violation: Office of the Attorney General employees violated the Ethics in Public Service Act when they used documents for teaching a class that were copied from internal litigation files maintained at the Attorney General's Office regarding a 1992 Superior Court case. (see: 2007-053 and 2007-041)

Result: Settlement approved on February 13, 2009 for a Civil penalty of $250 for each respondent.
